Kinney, who is getting ready to play his second year on varsity, is hopeful for the upcoming season despite a record breaking season of 4-9 in 2015.

“I am hoping for a better record than last year. Even though a lot of seniors have left, I think the new coach is going to do a lot,” Kinney said.

Kinney has been playing lacrosse for six years. Even though he took a break, in eighth grade he picked it back up.

Kinney is looking forward to the new coach and the changed practice schedule.

“I like [the new schedule] actually. It is helping the team stay focused, and everyone is trying their best to compete,” Kinney said.

Kinney is looking forward to creating some new memories this season while also keeping the old ones.

“[My favorite memory was] Elliot Cochran, who graduated last year, taking [the ball] all the way down the field and scoring with a d-pole,” Kinney said.
