Girls swim team loses to Edina in conference meet

by Isabella Weisman, junior

On Thursday, October 3, the HHS Girls Swim Team was defeated by Edina 83-97.

Edina is considered to be one of the best swim teams in the Lake Conference, so some of the swimmers were expecting the loss.

However, there was still winners within the team. Josie Berman, sophomore, lettered in the 50 Free with a time of 26.87 seconds.

Despite the loss, the team is still encouraging each other to improve.

“You have to think of the meet as black and white,” said Margarita Lyadova, junior. “Some swimmers did good, others did bad, but we still stuck together as a team.”

This was the last Dual Meet, which means the rest of the meets this year will be against more than one team.

HHS will still participate in the True Team meet, JV and Varsity sections, and State.
