MacKenzie Merritt, senior, a passionate and very decorated athlete will be returning in her senior year as a captain, and is looking to lead the Royals back to the state tournament appearances.
Merritt started playing softball when she was just eight years old.
Today, the softball team begins their journey to state after a great season for the girls finishing with a (9-9-0) record and a (5-4-0) record in the Lake Conference.
