New era of HHS orchestra brings new traditions

The Hopkins school district orchestra program paired up the West and North-side districts for their 1st annual orchestra festival.

The West-side district featured Eisenhower/Xinxing Elementary School, Gatewood Elementary School, Glen Lake Elementary School, West Junior High School and Hopkins High School on the night of January 14th, Tuesday.

The North-side district featured Alice Smith Elementary School, Meadowbrook Elementary School, LH Tanglen Elementary School, North Junior High School and Hopkins High School on that following Thursday night of the 16th.

In the past, instead of a split between the north and west districts, they had all six elementary’s, both junior highs and the high school perform together in the Lindberg until it got to be too big.

The orchestra festival is a chance for the whole orchestra program 5-12 to get to hear each other play.
