School spirit filled the Lindbergh Center as the entire student body and most of the staff members gathered to participate in their final pep fest of the 2014-2015 school year.

On Friday, Feb. 6, students were dismissed from their second block classes for the special event. All who were present had the opportunity to see performances by Deeply Royal, the Lion King Dance Crew, the Cheerleading team, Jazzy D, Drumline, Midori, Geoff, and the Royelles.

For the first time at an HHS pep fest, the administration and student government decided to recognize various students for their hard work and positive contributions to the school. Students were named Royal Spirit, Royal Artist, Royal Hope, Royal Champion, Royal Start, Royal Ambassador, and Royal Muse.

Student government hopes to continue to give out these awards in the future.

Although the pep fest came to a close just 45 minutes after it started, the excitement will continue into the week of Feb. 9 where HHS’s annual Winter Week will be in full swing.
