On Oct. 27, Spanish 5 students spent their school day at the University of Minnesota.

On the field trip, the Spanish students sat through a 3 hour college spanish class and learned about Mexican History.

Spanish, German, and French all offer College in the Schools courses (CIS), meaning that students who finish CIS courses receive 5 college credits from the U of M.

German 5 students visited on Oct. 29, while the French 5 field trip was on Oct. 6.

German 5 went to the Memorial Union to listened to speakers talking about the anniversary of the Berlin Wall being taken down. There were also speakers advocating for study abroad programs and scholarships for German students.

“We did activities with actual German speaking students from Germany. There was a lot about German history,” said Chrisna Minh, senior.

After the classes and activities, the language students were told to find their own lunch and then returned to HHS at the end of 4th block.
