Homecoming: The sophomore experience

Homecoming week has arrived, and it’s a whole new experience for the sophomore class.

HHS has a series of events planned to celebrate homecoming week before the big game and dance on Friday night. Some of these events include the pepfest, a parade, and elections for homecoming royalty.

“It has been a pretty crazy week for Hopkins High. I have never seen anything like this in junior high. Everyone is very hyped up, and there is a lot of spirit,” said Austin Devries, sophomore.

Homecoming week spirit goes as follows: Pajama Monday, Tropical Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Touchdown Thursday, and Class colors on Friday.

“Everyone is energetic and enthusiastic. Lots of people are dressed up in crazy outfits,” said Max Haskovitz, Sophomore.

HHS students are very excited about playing one of Lake Conference rivals, the Minnetonka Skippers, for the homecoming game on Friday.

“I hope that our team successfully beats the Skippers by a lot of points, so we can have an even better time at the dance,” said Sam Stillman, sophomore.
