Aubrey Drake Graham (Drake) has been one of the most influential and dynamic artists of the past decade and some believe to be the best artist of all time
Drake’s previous albums gave his listeners a taste of everything, from heartbreak R&B, spitting over a beat, or even dance music. Drake’s new album For All the Dogs (FOTD) shows every aspect Drake is capable of.
After Drake collaborated with 21 savage and released their album “Her Loss” the two artists have been touring the world and selling out crowds everywhere. These shows have been an unforgettable experience that no fan has ever seen before, every city they go to they bring out local celebrities from sports teams, fashion icons, other artists, etc. For All The Dogs was a surprise to many as it is very rare for an artist to drop an album while touring, but Drake has proven to be like no other artist.
The roll out for this album started with Drake posting a picture of cover art created by his 5-year-old son Adonis Graham, the world erupted with excitement directly after this post, and since the album’s release, every Drake fan has been satisfied.
“I love the Chief Keef feature, the way that Drake brought in a mix of older hip hop and modernized it, I was actually in shock at how great it worked,” Said Maddox Comito, 12. “The features on this album perfectly fit every single song, it is almost like the song was made for the featuring artist by Drake himself,”
The 23 songs on FOTD are far from the same, Drake continues to experiment with different beats and samples really creating a multi-genre masterpiece. On the 2nd track “Amen” featuring Tezzo Touchdown, the two artists put together a gospel track with piano to play over Drake’s verse as well as Tezzo’s vocals. This song immediately hit the charts and fans loved it.
In the first week of the album release, FOTD debuted at Number 1 on the charts, making this Drakes’s 13th album to reach this achievement. As the 36-year-old’s success shows no way of slowing down any time soon, fans have lots to be excited about for music to come in the future. Until then, you may find Drake at Toronto Raptors games sitting courtside with his son, or performing with other artists. The 6 god has done it again.
