Eleven HHS athletes sign Letter of Intent

Wed. Nov 12 marks the beginning of the fall signing period, where student-athletes from the class of 2015 can officially sign a National Letter of Intent.

This afternoon, 11 HHS athletes signed their letter of intent surrounded by the crowd of friends, family and coaches.

Between the 11 student-athletes, they had a cummaltiive GPA of 3.56 and a astounding 56 varsity letters.

Corbin Boyd, senior will take her hockey talents to the next level as she committed to Minnesota State Mankato.

“It feels so good that it’s finally official and it’s nice to see all of my dreams of going to a division 1 college come true.” said Boyd.

Robbie Palkert, senior will join a Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball team that carries 3 College World Series appearances.

“I can’t believe it’s a reality, all the work you put in has finally paid off.” said Palkert.

Samantha Swenson last week was named Ms. Volleyball, the award given to the states best volleyball player. Today she committed to the school she knew she wanted to attend since sophomore year.

“I’m glad I chose the U and signing day was really exciting because i’ve been waiting for this day for a long time and it’s great to officially be a Gopher.” said Swenson
