ProPEL field trip

Yesterday, the ProPEL program at HHS embarked on their first field trip. They volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, a Christian non-profit organization that packages food to send to malnourished children in 70 different countries.

Sarah Lentsch, senior, had a great experience during the first ProPEL trip of the year.

“Since we don’t start our internships until later in the year, we took a field trip to Feed My Starving Children as a way to give back to the community,” Lentsch said.

“While we were at Feed My Starving Children we packaged 60 boxes of food, which amounts to 12,600 meals for those in need,” said Robbie Palkert, senior. “It felt really good to do something nice for others during a school field trip and it would be cool to do stuff like this more often.”

HHS ProPEL students will start their internships in the local business community at the beginning of the second semester.
