On Sunday Feb. 23 the Hopkins Royals girls hockey team gathered one final time. They did not gather for a game however, they gathered for an award ceremony that recognized two senior hockey players that helped lead to be one of the top in state.

Erin O’Neil, senior was nominated for and won the Senior Goalie of the Year award. Teammate Nina Rodgers, senior, was nominated for the Ms. Hockey award.

O’Neil received a scholarship to play at Boston University and Rodgers received a scholarship to play at the University of Minnesota for this upcoming school year.

These girls helped lead the team to a 21-5 record and a 5-3 record in the Lake Conference.
