On Tuesday, May 5, the Royals (5-7) hosted Robbinsdale Armstrong (0-11) for a 13-3 win on senior day. Before the game, the seven seniors and their families were recognized.

“They announced all of the seniors at the beginning and their parents… Everyone got flowers at the end of the game and in the fence by center field, the seniors’ numbers were put up in styrofoam cups,” said Kirsten Magaard, sophomore.

The Royals started off by scoring a total of 8 runs in the first two innings with multiple RBIs and a grand slam from Brenna Falk, junior.

“We were catching on to the pitcher and her speed, so we were stringing in hits,” Falk said. “Then I was up to bat and the bases were loaded, and I just found a good pitch that I liked.”

The Falcons scored their first run on an error made by the Royals. They then managed to bat in their second run and steal their third.

The Royals fought back and ended the game in the 6th inning after advancing ten runs ahead of the Falcons.

The Royals will play Wayzata on Wednesday, May 6 at 4:15 p.m. for their final home game of the season.
