On Saturday, Feb. 28, members of the boys swim team competed in the section final meet. The team placed last out of all the teams in their conference, and no one from the team qualified for the state meet.

Even though none of the boys advanced to the state, 26 out of the 32 swimmers beat their previous personal record.

“We didn’t send anyone to state, and we were hoping to and somewhat expecting to,” said Max Meland, senior. “It was a little bit disappointing.”

Despite the end results, the meet was still fairly successful for the individuals.

“I had been doing bad all season until this meet, so I’m very happy,” said Grant Girod, senior.
