Amore
For Prom this year, my group went to Amore for dinner, a little Italian restaurant in Uptown. Overall, I really enjoyed both the dinner and the experience.
My group was pretty large, so the restaurant gave us an entire room to ourselves, with several tables that we divided up between. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful decor, which featured brick interior walls and electric candles among the centerpieces on each table.
I am a self-proclaimed picky eater, so when ordering I went with a pretty safe choice: the fettucine alfredo, called ¨Alfredo’s Fettucine.” It was delicious, although there was far more on the plate than I could eat. One of my friends ordered the ¨Island Style New Zealand Mussels,¨ one got the Pasta Milan, while another the Caprese salad. All of them, along with the others in my group, thoroughly enjoyed their choices as well.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, constantly refilling waters and even helping to take some photos of us. Service was also very quick, and we were in and out at a very reasonable pace.
I’d definitely come back to this restaurant again. Although there aren’t a ton of options for a picky eater like myself, Amore was a great experience and serves great, authentic Italian cuisine.
