On Tuesday, Sept. 27, the Royals girls soccer team hosted the Breck Mustangs. The girls blew out the Mustangs 4-0, which bring the Royals to a 8-3 record, and fourth shutout this season.

The Royals started out rough, because they were unable to handle the ball well in the rain. As the game went on, they got more and more used to it and were able to capitalize on more opportunities.

The offside call was a major impact on the game, taking away two of the Royals goals. Starting out early, the Royals had a quick goal in the first, four minutes, taken away due to players being offside.

Once the Royals got into the game, and the intensity picked up, they were able to score three goals before the half, and one more goal in the first 20 minutes of the second half.

Goals were scored by: Lavin Douglass, sophomore, Chance Douglass, Isabelle Olson, and Ashley Akin, seniors.

The Royals will host the Wayzata Trojans Thursday, Sept. 28, at 5:00 p.m.

The Royals will be facing a tough competition against the Trojans. The Trojans are ranked number one in the state as of right now, and recently beat the Royals 1-0 at Wayzata.
