Friday, March 4, through Sunday, March, 6, four HHS students – Ellie Fromstein, senior, Sophia Haley and Maddie Peterson, sophomores, and Quarrile Howard, freshman – will be competing in the largest rugby tournament in North America.

The Las Vegas Invitational will be played alongside the USA sevens international tournament.  They will be competing on team Tundra, Minnesota’s select side rugby team, against other women in the women’s 7’s elites category.

“I’m most excited to play at the high level and play with the Minnesota girls. We always have a ton of fun on and off the field,” Fromstein said.

Overall, this weekend is going to be a very competitive weekend for MN Tundra. All of the teams are very talented.

“During the weekend, I hope to get more high level experience and develop as a team because it’ll help us move into our club seasons, and when we meet back together in June for our trip to Colorado, we’ll already have experience with each other,” Fromstein said.

The MN Tundra play their first game at 10:40 am on Friday, March 4.
