Softball: Preview of Crimson

Today the Royals girls Softball team will head to Maple Grove for an out of conference game. This game comes after a strong showing from the Royals on Monday where they defeated the Edina Hornets 6-1.
The Crimson are 2-2 coming into the game today with loses to Blaine and Totino-Grace. The Royals are off to a hot start and are currently 4-0 on the season. They have been playing some of there best softball. Last week they beat Wayzata 17-9 in a impressive showing from the whole team.
This game is one that the Royals are looking to win, as last season they lost to Maple Grove in there one meeting.
The Royals are looking to continue that hot start and come into this game playing well on both sides of the ball. MaKenzie Merritt, senior will be pitching for the Royals today and is looking to continue her strong play.
Natalie DenHartog, junior who had a great game versus the Hornets on Monday hopes to continue her great batting in this game.
With a win today the Royals will continue that hot streak and improve their record to 5-0.
After today the Royals will head to Rosedale next Tuesday for an out of conference game where they will hope to continue their strong play and improve upon their great start to the season.
