Mar 23, 2017
Emma Feinberg, junior, started playing lacrosse three years ago when she was still a student at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School. This is her second year on the Royals girls lacrosse team.
Feinberg started out her first year by playing attack, which is offense, but now she plays defensive. Feinberg typically plays post which means she is at one of the sides of the goalie.
Feinberg has done a lot of preparation for this season.
“I go to the gym and I work out with friends. I normally focus on cardio and weightlifting and I try to do it as much as possible,” Feinberg said.
Not only has lacrosse created a motivation for Feinberg to work out, but it has introduced her to a new a community.
“I love the lacrosse community,” Feinberg said. “It is a place I feel like I belong and I can be myself. It also allows me to be on a team because it is the only school sport I play.”
The community that lacrosse has created for Feinberg, has also created a good place to achieve goals.
“My goals for this season are to become more of a leader on the team and become more confident when I play,” Feinberg said.
Feinberg thinks the Royals are in store for a good season.
“I think we will do really well this year as long as we continue to work as a team and keep having fun,” Feinberg said.
