Sixth graders to visit HHS
Mar 2, 2017
After June 1, HHS seniors will be parting ways and moving on to the next step in their lives. This Friday, seniors will get the opportunity to share their plans after HHS with 10 sixth graders from Eisenhower Elementary and XinXing Academy.
The elementary students will be asking seniors questions about their plans after graduation and what their high school experience has been like.
“Our students really look up to high school students and we thought it would be a great opportunity for them to learn about life beyond elementary school,” said Ms. Courtney Davis, Counselor at Eisenhower Elementary and XinXing Academy.
Ms. Denise Colicchia, Counselor at HHS, and Davis have been coordinating the event.
Five sixth graders from Eisenhower Elementary and five sixth graders from XinXing Academy will be participating in the interviews.
Eisenhower Elementary and XinXing Academy will be taking part in these interviews as part of College and Career Awareness Week.
Seniors that have been chosen to be interviewed were selected by the counselors at HHS and select staff.
