Girls hockey team takes timeout and discusses gameplan. Wayzata beat the Royals 3-2.

On Thurs., Jan. 30th the Royals girls hockey team wrapped up their season with a non-conference game against the Maple Grove Crimson. The Royals fell to the Crimson 3-2 but ended their regular season with a record of 15-10.

The Royals are ranked last in the Lake Conference and 15th in the state.

“We’re super excited about the game tomorrow and are feeling really good after a week of practices,” said Jenna Kimbrel, senior.

The Royals will play their first sections game against North Metro on Sat., Feb. 11 at 2:15 p.m. at the Parade Ice Garden.

The North Metro Stars have a record of 3-22, and lost to the Royals in their first game of the season 8-0.

“We’ve been working on competing, winning battles and getting lots of shots in at practice this week [in order to prepare],” Kimbrel said.
