Boye Mafe, senior, attempts to shake off a blocker in pursuit of the quarterback in loss against Maple Grove.

Boye Mafe, senior, football captain, announced his decision and has decided to stay home and commit to the University of Minnesota.

The 6’4”, 225 lb, three star recruit, had offers from many Division-I programs including: Rutgers, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Northern Iowa.

“I decided to go to The University of Minnesota because I love the atmosphere there, and I get along very well with their current players,” Mafe said.

Mafe is looking to make an immediate impact as a Gopher, as they look to improve from a 9-4 2016 campaign.
