Vikings preview: Hosting the Colts
Dec 16, 2016
The Minnesota Vikings are heading into week 15 of the 2016 NFL season with a record of 7-6.
The Vikings had a big win last week against the struggling Jacksonville Jaguars. The Vikings defense really stepped up and shut down many of the Jaguars key offensive threats. Including holding star wideout Allen Robinson was held to just one catch.
The Minnesota Vikings’ playoff chances are slim right now, but a win against Indianapolis this week could really help the team’s chances.
Star running back Adrian Peterson who hasn’t played since week two, has been practicing this week, and will make his return this week.
The Vikings’ defense will have a tough task this week trying to shut down Andrew Luck and the high scoring Indianapolis Colts offense.
The Vikings are coming into this game ranking in 21st in offense this year, comparing to the Colts having the 9th best offense this season.
A matchup people will be watching closely will be start corner Xavier Rhodes against Pro Bowl wideout TY Hilton. Xavier Rhodes is at the top of the league with 4 interceptions, meanwhile TY Hilton is also having a very strong season with 6 Touchdowns.
The NFC North has been a 3 team competition this year. The Lions hold the lead of the north with a record of 9-4, while the Vikings and Packers are shortly behind them with records of 7-6.
The Vikes will host the Colts at U.S. Bank Stadium this Sunday December 18 at 12:00pm.
