Royelles to compete in third competition

The Royelles are going to compete in their third conference meet of the season tonight at Minnetonka High School at 7pm.

In past meets, the Royelles have been doing very well, placing third in Jazz and second in High Kick during their first two conference meets. Tonight, the Royelles will perform their Jazz routine.

The Royelles perform their Jazz routine to the song Sweet Dreams. The Jazz routine features more turns and technical dancing than in their High Kick routine.

The Dance Team is currently ranked second in the Lake Conference, making this year a success for the Royelles. This is because of the fact that they already have as many second place finishes as they did last season.

“Our season is going very well but we still have more work to put in if we want to improve and hopefully make it to State,” said Payton Meuwissen, sophomore.

After tonight’s conference meet, the Royelles will compete in a conference High Kick meet at Wayzata High School at 7pm on Dec. 20th.
