Boys hockey preview: Hosting the Millers
Dec 13, 2016
Following the Royals boys hockey team’s return from Cloquet over the weekend, where they played two team from the area, the Royals prepare to face the Minneapolis Millers in their second home game of the year. Despite starting off 0-5, the boys are hopeful for the first win of the season.
Over the weekend the Royals faced the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Area Lumberjacks, and the Hermantown Hawks, and unfortunately were shut out by both teams. After those games, the team was back at practice getting ready to face the Millers.
“We worked a lot on keeping it simple for the game [against the Millers]. None of us were happy about the way the weekend games turned out for us, we’re hoping for a better result tonight,” said Bobby Wilson, junior.
Another goal of the Royals is to get their offense scoring, which has been a problem for the team, with only one goal scored on the season as a team.
The Millers are sitting with a 3-2 record so far on the season, so the Royals are making sure not to underestimate their opponents.
The Royals face the Millers tonight, Tonight at the Hopkins Pavilion arena at 7 p.m.
