After a tough 2-1 loss to Farmington Sat. Nov. 26, the Royals girls hockey team was determined to add a win to their 4-2 record.

On Tues. Nov. 30, the Royals played the Holy Family Fire at the Minnetonka Ice Arena.

The Fire put up a good fight, and after the first period the score was 0-0. The Fire managed to score one in the second, but the Royals came back with three unanswered goals scored by Jenna Kimbrel, senior, and Kylie Hanley and Annika Patterson, juniors.

“We beat [Holy Family] in the past by quite a few points, and the team, as well as the coaches, were disappointed in how we played because we knew we could’ve played a lot harder than we did,” Patterson said.

Although the Royals have hit some obstacles in their last couple games, they were able to work together as a team and win the game.

“Overall, it wasn’t our best game playing together as a team, but a win’s a win,” Patterson said.
