Last season the Royelles did not make it past sections, so this year they are hoping to work hard to make it to the State Tournament.

The Royelles hosted a youth dance clinic to fundraise for the season and to get ready for the start of the season.

Also, on Nov. 19, the Royelles hosted an invitational with the rest of the section teams, as well as a lot of other teams from around the metro. The University of Minnesota’s dance team also attended.

Last year, the Royelles achieved one second place award, which was at their own Lake Conference Jazz meet. This year they hope to capitalize on that and achieve more second place awards, and possibly even some first place awards.

After the opening Hopkins Dance Show, the Royelles first Lake Conference meet is a Jazz meet which will take place at Edina High School on December 1st at 7pm. The Royelles have five Lake Conference meets this year.
