Vikings hope to stay undefeated with win over Texans

The Minnesota Vikings are in the middle of a season to remember. With a 4-0 start and injuries to some of their best players, they are proving everyone wrong. Many say that the defensive play is defining our team and intimidating the rest of the league.

In Week 5 our matchup is against a similar defensive team, the Houston Texans. Their defensive anchor J.J. Watt will miss the rest of the season though due to a back injury. Our tag-team running back scheme with Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata will benefit from his absence.

This week will be another test for our cornerbacks. The Texans have one of the most explosive playmakers in the NFL, DeAndre Hopkins. However, Xavier Rhodes’ defense and Mike Zimmer’s defensive play calling is tough and has shut down some of the best receivers in the league in past weeks.

The biggest test for the Vikings will be for our quarterback Sam Bradford who will need to step up in the beginning of this game and put points on the board.

The popular weekly question though is, will Blair make it? The semi-veteran kicker had a gut wrenching end to the season with a miss to win a playoff game and his confidence level is sinking.

Although the Vikings are undefeated they have to prove themselves every week and continue to grow under the advanced coaching of Mike Zimmer.

The Vikings host the Texans at U.S. Bank Stadium at 12:00 p.m.
