Vikings look to improve to 4-0 with win over Giants

There are five teams in the National Football League who remain undefeated going into the fourth week of the 2016-2017 season. The Minnesota Vikings are one of those five teams. The last time the Vikings started off the season 3-0 was 2009, when Brett Favre helped the Vikings go 4-0 in the first four weeks of the season.

The Vikings hope to continue this perfect record against the New York Giants, this Monday night.

Many fans thought losing Teddy Bridgewater with an ACL tear for the season and potentially losing Adrian Peterson with a torn meniscus for the season, would ruin the chances for a Super Bowl, but the team has defied expectations so far, by beating teams like the Carolina Panthers, who lost in the Super Bowl to the Denver Broncos last season.

“I think we lost key players, but our defense has stepped up, and so has Sam Bradford,” said Bryce Newcomb, sophomore.

Bradford has 457 passing yards and 67.8 percent completion rate with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions so far in the 2016-2017 season.

The Vikings will host the Giants for Monday Night Football, 7:30 p.m., at U.S Bank Stadium.
