The Royals girls tennis team beat the Eden Prairie Eagles by a score of 4-3 last night. The Royals improved to 8-1 overall after last night’s win.

The Royals are ranked eighth in the state. They hope to improve throughout the season and were pleased with their performance against the Eagles according to Nicole Lukas, senior.

“We looked good against the Eagles and all of our singles players won. That’s something that we can build on for the future,” Lukas said.

Tonight the Royals will play against the Breck Mustangs. The Mustangs have a 6-2 record this season and are a very solid team.

“Breck has a very good team, but if all of us play our best, we can definitely beat them,” Lukas said.

After the match against Breck, the Royals will play in an invitational Sat. Sept. 17th, at Eagan High School. The teams included will be the Eagan Wildcats, the Royals and the Hastings Raiders.
