The Royals boys soccer team was handed their second loss of the season last night, as they were defeated 0-6 by the Wayzata Trojans.

It was a slow start for the Royals, as the Trojans pulled away with a 0-3 lead going into halftime. The Royals looked for a comeback in the second half, but couldn’t quite pull ahead. The game ended Tuesday night, with a final score of 0-6, in favor of the Trojans.

Following the loss, the Royals fell to 0-2 in Lake Conference play. As for Henry Tapper, sophomore, he was not pleased with the way he played.

“I was obviously upset, but it tells me about myself and my team, and that we need to work harder, so that we can go out and win the next one, for me personally I have to rethink my style of play by being more offensive and being more controlling during the game,” Tapper said.

The Royals are looking to build off of Tuesday’s loss, and come back stronger in their next game on Thurs. Sept. 15th at 7:00 p.m against the Edina Hornets at Edina High School.
