The Royals boys soccer team has got off to a great start this season, as they are now 3-0 with wins over Chaska, Champlin Park and Cretin-Derham Hall. Last night the Royals defeated Cretin-Derham Hall 3-1. CDH was off to a 1-1 start after winning their first game 4-0 over Apple Valley, then losing their second game by a score of 1-3 to Prior Lake.

Hopkins looks to keep their undefeated record and keep up their great team chemistry.

“This year we are getting along better and don’t have separate groups of friends. That translates to moving the ball well on the field and finishing our opportunities,” said Nico Shirley, junior.

Hopkins has already scored nine goals this season and hopes to keep the momentum going in the future weeks.

Hopkins will resume play on Tues, Sept. 6th at 5pm when they will host the seventh ranked Minnetonka Skippers in their first Lake Conference matchup.
