Coming off a second consecutive 4-9 regular season, the Royals were awarded the 5 seed in the 9 team section 5 playoff bracket.

The Royals first game will be against the 4-seeded Totino-Grace Eagles. Totino-Grace finished the season will a 6-7 record. Hopkins and Totino-Grace play two completely different games, as Hopkins is involved in a lot of high scoring affairs, while Totino-Grace hasn’t scored more than 9 goals in a game.

Although TG has the higher seed, the Royals will be hosting the game due to Totino-Grace’s field being unavailable.

The seeding for the section is Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Blake, Armstrong, Totino-Grace, Hopkins, Providence Academy, Breck, and Cooper.

Breck and Cooper open up the section play tonight, and the winner of that game will go on to face Benilde. The rest of the games start on Thursday, including Hopkins at 2 pm.
