On Feb. 13, Deeply Royal hosted Step It Up’s tenth annual show. The show featured dance teams from school districts like Eden Prairie, Champlin Park, Osseo, Edina, and Cooper.Although the show was mainly made up of dance performances, spoken word and poetry were also showcased.

“No one wins; all the schools come together to show off their talent and have fun,” said Jaida Biggs, sophomore.

Sharina Mudd, head coach of Deeply Royal, and Shea Johnson, senior team captain, have been working to create eight new dances for the team to perform. Deeply Royal has been constructing and running the dances performed in the show since October.

“At first when I get on stage I’m really nervous, but eventually I become comfortable and have a good time on stage,” Biggs said.
