Ryan St. Clair, junior, is a forward for the Royals hockey team.
With four points on the season, St. Clair has emerged as a young leader on the team. His biggest accomplishment this year was scoring a goal against St. Louis Park to help his team win a section game.
St. Clair began playing hockey when he was three years old. Since then, he has gone through the Hopkins Hockey program all the way to the varsity team.
When asked who his hockey role model is, St. Clair said Nik Solberg, senior, due to his hard work ethic and scoring abilities.
“He is a good teammate and always pushes me to be a better player,” St. Clair said.
Although the Royals will be losing a lot of seniors next year, St. Clair believes that the Royals will be better than ever as long as the team works hard in the off-season and some key player stick around.
“So far this season has been great,” St. Clair said. “It has been great getting to know all the guys this past couple of months. I feel like we are one big family now, and I am excited for what the rest of the season has in store for us.”
