Volleyball ends regular season with win

On Thursday night, the Royals volleyball team celebrated their senior night with a win against the Eden Prairie Eagles.

The match began with a serve from Amanda Gans, senior. The Eagles began the first game strong with a lead 9-4. In the middle of the game, the Royals took the lead, but the Eagles caught back up and finished the game 25-19.

The Royals started the second game off strong and took the lead 8-4. Throughout the game the Royals held the lead with the Eagles closely behind. The Royals closed the game 25-14.

The third game began with a strong lead from the Eagles. The The Royals kept closely behind throughout the whole game but couldn’t finish it off. The game ended with a win for the Eagles 25-19.

The fourth game started out with a lead from the Royals 9-7. The Eagles took the lead in the middle of the game 17-15. Towards the end the Royals quickly pulled ahead and ended the match 25-23.

The fifth and final game was close. It went back and forth between the two teams. The Royals took the win in the end 15-11, closing out the match 3-2.

This was the last regular season game for the Royals as they begin to prepare for sections this upcoming week.
