The boys soccer team slowly trudged off the field following a 3-0 loss to the seventh ranked team in state, Wayzata.

Trojan forward Ethan Tuch scored two of their three goals, and goalie Troy Louwagie had a shutout game to help defeat the Royals on their home turf.

“We have to work on staying on the same page and communicating with each other,” said Andrew Shirley, senior.

At another home game this Thursday at 5 pm, the Royals will take on the third ranked team in state, the Edina Hornets.

“Traditionally, Edina is a good team, so it’s always nice to play the competition we do in the Lake Conference,” Shirley said. “Hopefully against Edina we can come back strong and prove that we’re a good enough team to perform in the Lake.”
