The boys lacrosse team (3-1) has already bested their 2-14 record from last season. The Royals are looking to improve their record tonight at home against Minnetonka at 7:30 p.m.

In their game last Thursday, April 16, the Royals were handed their first loss of the season by Eden Prairie, but bounced back on Saturday, April 18 with an 8-7 win over Minneapolis.

Tonight, the Royals hope to continue with the tactics that have led to victory in the past.

“We want a lot of possession time and we do not want to force anything. We also want to stay away from making penalties and making stupid mistakes. Also, we want to spread the ball around and get lots of different players involved in the offense,” said Andrew Wallace-Jackson, senior.

The Royals were beaten handily last season in each of their meetings with the Skippers, first by a score of 14-8 and then by a score of 17-5. This time, the Royals plan to give the Skippers a good fight.

“Our offense has been pretty solid this season, and we have a few tricks up our sleeve that are unstoppable,” said Danny Dolan, sophomore. “The team is very excited to have the opportunity to get our first conference win since 2012 tonight.”
