The Royals wrestling team season may be over, but individual wrestlers are hopeful for a state berth.

The 6AAA individual sectional wrestling tournament is on Friday, Feb. 20th, and Saturday, 21st, at Wayzata High school.

The Royals are looking forward to making their individual mark on the season, with the shot to make it to the state individual tournament.

“I truly feel I have the ability to go to state this year.  Although it’s going to be a battle, I am ready,” said Nate Johnson, sophomore.

Wins in the individual section tournament could mean more to the Royals wrestling team than just a state berth as well.  Winning at individuals could bring hope for the future as the team has only three graduating seniors this year.
