As we enter the month of February, March Madness looms ever so closely. Here is a quick recap of the boys and girls basketball seasons.

BOYS

Record: 17-4

Conference: 5-0 (first place)

State Ranking: 4th in Class 4A*

Key Wins: Eden Prairie (5), Cretin-Derham Hall (6), Minnetonka, and Eastview

Key Losses: Maple Grove (3), Champlin Park (1), Shakopee (10)

Leading Scorer: John Warren, senior, with 18.6 points per game

Upcoming: The biggest game left in the regular season is the finale at Eden Prairie which could decide who wins the Lake Conference and effect section seedings

 

GIRLS

Record: 18-1

Conference: 4-0 (first place)

State Ranking: 1st in Class 4A*

Key Wins: Eastview (2), Minnetonka (4), Eagan (10), Edina (6), St. Michael-Albertville (3)

Key Losses: Eastview (2)

Leading Scorer: Ashley Bates, junior, with 14.2 points per game

Upcoming: At Edina on Feb 13 is an important road test and at Minnetonka to end the season could also determine the Lake Conference champion
