STF club turns pancakes into education for women

On Sat. January 10, the HHS chapter of She’s the First had their first ever pancake breakfast fundraiser. The breakfast was held at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Edina.

During the breakfast, guests watched, “Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide,” a documentary that focused on the fight to end the oppression of women all over the world.

In total, the HHS chapter of She’s the First raised $350 through their pancake breakfast. With this addition, they have raised a total of $847 this year, beating their goal of $600.
