On Monday Dec. 15, the HHS chapter of DECA had its first formal practice of the season. The 89 participants came dressed in formal business attire and got their first authentic taste of what DECA presentations and tests will look like when competitions begin.

Throughout the night, students practiced test taking and formed marketing plans under the same time limits as the DECA competitions. Parents and HHS DECA alumni volunteered their time to act as judges of marketing plans and offer a review of student performance.

“It was really fun. I think it was a great way for people who have never done [DECA] before to learn what they’re doing,” said Sarah Lentsch, senior.
