The girls hockey team defeated North Metro 10-0 on Thursday, Nov. 6 at the Minnetonka Ice Arena. Led by a hat-trick by Grace Bizal, senior, and Molly Dionne’s, senior, shutout in net, the Royals cruised to an easy season opening victory.
Coming off a disappointing sections loss to Wayzata last year, the girls looked get the season off to a good start.
The Royals started fast with two first period goals by Bizal and one by Rachel St. Clair. A six goal second period explosion put the girls in a comfortable lead, and a third period goal by Stephanie Sween, senior, sealed the win.
“The win felt really good. Its a good way to start off the season,” St. Clair said.
