Minnesota to close all schools for eight days
Mar 15, 2020
As of Sunday, March 15, schools will be closed for eight days following the increasing case numbers of COVID-19,
Gov. Tim Walz addressed the state, noting that schools will begin closing on Monday, March 16 and Minnesota will see a full-swing of school closures by Wednesday.
The Hopkins district has begun preparing for this closure, as faculty has been prepped to begin e-learning, meal distribution and collaborating with staff and students alike to prepare for this event.
As student self-quarantines are in the near future, e-learning will take the place of adding days to the end of the school year, as of now.
For coronavirus updates on closures, procedures and Hopkins protocols on this matter to follow.
