Hit show Victorious streaming on Netflix

Silly Bandz have yet to come back in style, but Netlix streaming a Gen Z childhood favorite, Victorious, on their platform has given teens across the country their nostalgia fix.

Although Disney Plus unveiling on Nov. 12 has made the ability to watch a plethora of ‘old Disney’ favorites like Lizzie McGuire and Hannah Montana, Nickelodeon’s Victorious has taken the internet by storm since Netflix’s November release. 

The cast of Victorious is arguably one of its biggest assets and can probably be used as a testament as to why the reboot has been so successful. Ariana Grande is a prime example.

From her beginnings on Victorious as the artificially ginger and unimaginably cheerful Cat Valentine, it is clear that Grande has transformed into one of the most critical pop stars of this generation. The ability to see the starlet before she was topping the charts is another source of appeal for people rewatching Victorious. Even last year, her “thank u, next” music video was filled with Victorious co-star cameo Easter eggs.

Whether it be mentioning Grande’s humble beginnings or shading Victoria Justice, TikTok users in particular have been the most vocal about their opinions about the cast, particularly praising the power couple of Jade and Beck, played by Liz Gillies and Avan Jogia respectively. Not to forget about the iconic Robbie, Trina and Andre, my personal favorites.  

At the end of the day, I think we are ALL happy we can binge-watch a classic childhood sitcom to remind ourselves of a less stressful time.
