Troy Schroers, senior, poses in his costume. Halloween is always a joyous time at HHS.

It’s Halloween time at HHS and the ghosts and ghouls are out to haunt the halls.

This Halloween, students and staff at HHS are going all in on Halloween. From the costume contest put on sponsored by Student Council to trick or treating at the spirit shop, the whole school is ready for the spooky season.

The costume contest is currently open and students can submit to win the final candy prize. To submit, students have to take a picture and post it on Twitter with #StudCoHHS. Some have already submitted their costumes and are ready to take home the prize, like Griffin Gallagher, junior, who dressed up as PC Principal from South Park.

Other students are just going trick or treating at the spirit shop. To do so, students simply have to answer a question asked by the people working there, whether the answer is wrong or right, a free piece of candy is ripe for the picking.

“I think Halloween time at school is just really cool and fun, people get to dress up and have a good time eating candy,” said Payton Morgen, “Everyone has a great time being their favorite characters, like I’m pretty sure I saw two people dressed up as the Blues Brothers, which is awesome.”
