Recap: Royals swim meet against the Trojans
Sep 28, 2018
HHS Girls Swim and Dive team met Wayzata for their fifth dual meet of the season at the Plymouth Lifetime and an unfortunate loss.
The team is ranked ninth in the state in their class. Wayzata is ranked first in the state and gave a heavy loss to the Royals winning a majority of the events.
However, the Royals are not going to take this loss to heart and look to just move forward.
“Wayzata is a very talented team, and we all tried our very best. We went out, swam and dove to the best of our abilities so to us it may have been a loss in the books, but we tried our hardest and that’s what matters.” Said Julia Fromstein, senior.
Despite the loss, the team feels they have improved a tremendous amount from last season.
“We are a lot better than last year. Last season, we were ranked twelfth in the state and this season we have moved up into the top ten (ninth). This was also a good chance for us to get some good swims in. Wayzata is good, but it’s a good time to race.” Said Kala Guettler, senior.
The Royals are back in action on Tuesday, October 2nd (5:00 PM) at Minnetonka East Middle School to take on the Skippers.
