Tonight, the Royals boys’ basketball team will have their last regular season home game against the Eden Prairie Eagles.

The Royals are riding a 23-game win streak going into tonight and are currently ranked second in the state of Minnesota behind the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders. The Eagles are coming off back-to-back wins to bring them to a 18-6 record. Both teams are coming off a win against the Wayzata Trojans who have now lost two in a row to bring them to a 14-9 record.

This is the second meeting between the Royals and Eagles with the last one going in favor of the Royals. They were able to pull out a 84-77 win behind a strong performance from Anthony Davis, senior, who scored 21 points.

The Royals had some struggle with the Eagles four sophomores who combined for 59 out of their 77 points. The Royals will want to try and limit these four tonight in hopes to continue their win streak before their last game of the season.

Tonight is also senior night for the Royals who will be honoring seven senior who will be leaving after this season. Akeen Woods, Davis, A-Montre Williams, DJ Davis, Curtis Davis, Joe Hedstrom and Kajuane Walton will all be playing their last regular season game at Lindbergh.

Though the Royals have locked up the first seed in the Lake Conference, they will still want to keep their undefeated record.

The Royals close out their regular season next Friday against the Minnetonka Skippers.
