The Royals boys basketball team has gotten off to a red hot start.  After losing the first game of the season to East Ridge, the Royals are on a three game win streak. Defeating the Minnehaha Academy Redhawks on Dec. 11.

Boys basketball Big 12 Classic preview, look forward to tough matchup against East Ridge

Many of the states top ranked basketball teams will be in the Joe Mauer Fieldhouse at Cretin-Derham Hall this saturday. The event replaces the boys games that were played at the Breakdown Girls Tip-Off Classic that is played at HHS in the Lindbergh Center and comes one week before the Boys Tip-Off Classic also played in the Lindbergh Center.

Paige Bueckers, junior, one of Hopkins’ star athletes, recently returned from Buenos Aires, Argentina; but this trip was no vacation.  Rather than lounging on beaches or sight-seeing, her travel overseas was for the 2018 Youth Olympics, where Bueckers, twice gold medalist, won her third.

Even though Zeke Nnaji, senior, has caught the attention of schools all across the country, he has recently narrowed his list down to five schools. The schools have collectively won 15 championships and consist of Arizona, Baylor, Kansas, Purdue and UCLA.
