Emma Feinberg, junior, started lacrosse three years ago when she was still a student at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School. This is her second year on the HHS girls lacrosse team.
With captains practices just around the corner, the season is finally kicking off.
In the previous year, the boys lacrosse squad finished with a 4-9 record overall. They finished with a solid out of conference record of 4-1. The Royals look to improve their conference record from last year which was a record of 0-8.
Fighting through adversity, Matt Gerstner, junior, looks to start his momentum early going into his junior lacrosse season. Gerstner is pretty new to the sport, but he has some background in this type of environment.
The beginning of the game showed promise for the Royals, as they were within 3 goals at halftime. However, the Skippers stayed true to their season trend by dominating the second half of the game.
The rest of the game did not go the Royals' way, as Wayzata attackers started to find some leaks in the Royals defense. This led to multiple fast breaks, allowing Wayzata to keep their distance throughout the game.
Sammi Galinson, junior, plays midfield for the Royals girls lacrosse team. She is off to a hot start of the season, with 14 goals already in the first three games of the season.
