Though the school year is still about a week away from starting at Hopkins High School, the Royals football team will kick off the 2019 season Thursday night on the road against the Apple Valley Eagles.
The Royals have been rising to the occasion all year. Hopkins is currently ranked ninth in the state which is the same position they were at in the preseason rankings from GAMEBREAKER.
With a strong showing from seniors Joe Fahnbulleh, Eli Hoeft, and sophomore George Jackson, the Royals became the first wild card state qualifier to win the whole thing.

Every year the school’s synchronized swimming team has a show for family and friends, where they display the routines they have developed so far in the season. This year’s show was on Saturday, April 27th, and went off without a hitch.
On April 15, the boys tennis team held a match against Bloomington’s Jefferson High School. They ultimately won in this season opener with a score of five to two.
